  Wicked Dreams

Eli, a fierce vampire warrior, had one mission, to protect a human named Genevieve. He has no idea why until the powers of the Seer, the vampire race’s all-powerful divine being, start to ravage her. In her human form, Genevieve is plagued by crippling headaches, and the stronger her powers grow, the weaker she gets.

Eli races to get her to the Generals, the leaders of the vampires, so Genevieve can be transformed into a vampire to avoid the Seer powers killing her. The Generals realize Eli is meant to be Genevieve’s mate, but Eli knows nothing of love, only war. He finds out her Guardian, her protector and source of life, is a Shifter named Kota whom he hates. He must learn to share not only Genevieve’s affections, but her body as well.

  Chapter One

Eli circled outside the club for a second time. He sensed her inside, the undeniable pull to something he knew nothing about. His mission was simply to watch a human woman. He didn’t know why, and he didn’t ask questions. He did what he had been told. Warriors didn’t question orders and his were to follow the human and protect her if any danger fell upon her. The music vibrated through the concrete walls. He knew his charge would be dancing. Her body would be swaying to and fro with the beat. Those hips of hers would be twisting and turning in the alluring way only she had.

“Eli, what’s up with you tonight?” Asa asked, smacking Eli on the back of the head.

Eli abruptly stopped walking and looked sharply at his best friend. “What the fuck?”

A low growl crawled up his throat. Just as he balled his fist up to punch Asa in the mouth, he caught a scent, stopping him dead in his tracks. He took a deep breath, taking in that sweet floral scent. His fangs lowered, throbbing with want as the scent enveloped his entire being. He turned his head and saw her in the alley. She was the only thing Eli saw, the only thing he felt, until a man slapped her so hard she lost her footing.

Eli’s feet moved before the man’s hand could make it completely around. He moved to grab the man, but he stopped when a small fist landed against the man’s throat. Eli watched the man grab his neck and sink down to the ground. Seeing the woman throat-punch a man twice her size had Eli’s cock so hard, he feared it might come through his zipper. Before he could say anything to her, she sauntered back into the club, straightening her skirt as she went.

“Damn, that might be the hottest thing I’ve ever seen,” Asa said, clapping Eli on the shoulder.

“Come on, we have work to do.” Eli shrugged his friend’s hand away and stalked into the club.

He knew where she’d be and when the dance floor came into view, he saw her there. He watched as her body moved to the beat. For a month he’d been keeping an eye on her. He knew the first time he saw her something had been different about her. Never had the vampire race been so interested in a human before. That didn’t concern him as much as the fact she was never far from Eli’s mind. He could pick up her scent from miles away, could feel her presence before she entered a room.

  “Eli, where you going?”

“I got it tonight. You can head out,” he told Asa, never taking his eyes off the human woman.

He didn’t hear what Asa said as he continued to move toward the dance floor. The club was crowded, but he only saw her. Eli knew everything about her. Her name was Genevieve LaFlur. She was twenty-five years old. A tall female standing at five feet ten inches tall and weighing one hundred and twenty five pounds.

There were things he didn’t know and would kill to find out, like how her naked body would feel against his. How tight her pussy would feel around his dick. How her nails would feel as she scratched his back. He watched her raise her arms above her head, her legs spread slightly, her hips swaying to the beat. Her left hand grabbed her long hair and twisted it up. Eli watched a single drop of sweat roll down the column of her elegant neck, between her bare shoulder blades, and into the silk of her shirt.

Her scent was so strong he nearly lost his control. He wanted nothing more than to claim her body as his. To plunge himself so deep inside of her, she’d scream his name for hours. His cock twitched, his fangs throbbed, and his fingers longed to feel her flesh beneath them. Pushing people out of the way, he walked up behind her. Placing his large hands on her hips, he moved
in tandem with her.

Over the last month, he’d seen her reject plenty of men who made advances on her. He’d control her mind if he had to, in order to have the simple pleasure of dancing with her. His huge frame shuddered when, instead of pushing him away, she pressed her body into his. The dance was seductive, and had it not been for the layer of clothing between them, Eli’s deepest desires would’ve come to pass.

He didn’t know when one song ended and another began. He’d been so lost in everything about her. Without thinking, he slid his hand down her hip to her upper thigh. The skin of her leg lit his insides on fire. He couldn’t stop himself from trailing his hand up until it reached the hem of her skirt. Eli kept going until his finger tips ran across her folds. Her pussy was so hot and wet. He nearly ripped her clothes away. He could sense her desire to have him.

Suddenly, she grabbed her forehead, doubling over and crying out. “No, please, not now!”

He’d seen this happen to her before. Excruciating headaches slammed into her out of nowhere. He picked her up and swiftly made his way toward the door.

Seeing her in pain did strange things to his heart. He didn’t understand why he cared in the least for a human woman. He wanted her, yes, but he’d never cared about anything other than killing as many of the Fallen as he could. He’d seen the bastards near her home recently. The fallen were the one true enemy of the vampire race; they were soulless beings set on one thing, destroying vampires.

Eli carried her home. He ran, his muscles stretching and pulling as his powerful legs carried him effortlessly through the city, keeping to the back alleys to avoid the watchful eyes of the humans. He opened the door telepathically, carried her up to her room, and laid her in her bed. She didn’t look comfortable, so he took the liberty of undressing her. She moaned, reaching for her head again. Vampires could sense pain in others. What he felt would be half of what she did. That fact made him worry for her. He felt trapped in his own skin, like his brain would hammer its way out of his skull at any second.

Tapping into her mind, Eli eased her pain so she would relax. He eased her heels off her feet and unzipped and pulled her short skirt down her legs. She wore no panties. Her shirt, a scrap of material, came off with a small twist of his wrist. She lay bare before him for the taking. Her body called to him like a siren.

He looked at her face, finally at peace from the headache. Her eyes opened sluggishly, blinking against the fog he put there, and met his, causing his breath to catch. Without his permission, his hand gripped her ankle, working its way up her leg.

Leaning down with his mouth at her ear he whispered, “I want to taste you.”

“Yes, taste me, please,” she whispered. He hesitated because he didn’t want to do something to her she might not like. When she moaned and nodded her assent she nudged him with her foot. His body responded on its own accord. Running his nose from her neck to the valley between her breasts, Eli breathed in as much of her as he could. He continued down her stomach until he reached her dripping pussy. The smell of her caused him to growl, a fierce sound reverberating around the room.

His tongue met her clit at the same time her hips bucked against him. When he tasted her for the first time, the need to make her his overwhelmed his entire being. The feeling controlled his very soul. He spread her legs wider, groaning when her hands tangled into his hair, holding him in place. As he worked her pussy, she squirmed upwards. He placed his forearm across her hips, pinning her in place.

He felt her pussy lips flutter, signaling her impending bliss. Eli wanted to feel her orgasm around his dick. He knew he couldn’t. He pushed two fingers into her roughly instead. Her hands left his hair, and she grabbed the headboard, moaning, the words “fuck yes” lifting her lips repeatedly. Eli curved his fingers until he felt that bundle of nerves deep inside of her. He made her cum repeatedly, loving the way she drenched his tongue with her magnificent taste.

His fangs punched down, throbbing, aching to taste her blood. The urge to strike so overwhelming he pulled his mouth away. Less than a second’s worth of work, and his teeth could be buried into her femoral artery. He ran his tongue across his fangs, his throat on fire from the thirst she evoked in him. His jaw dropped open as the mouthwatering sound of her heartbeat filled his ears.

No one would ever know if he tasted her blood. The Generals wouldn’t have a clue if Eli just took a tiny taste. As he started to move farther away from her, resisting the urge to break the one rule punishable by death, biting a human, she thrust her hips against his fingers still buried deep inside of her. His razor-sharp fangs were exposed, and before he could move far enough away, her skin met the tip of his fang. The skin broke. A small drop of blood landed on his lip.

  * * * *

Genevieve watched as his tongue slowly lapped away the drop of her blood on his lip. She couldn’t stop the moan that crept out of her at the sight. She didn’t know this man, but she didn’t care. Something about his hands on her, any part of him being inside of her, felt so utterly right to her.

She wanted to know everything about the man staring up at her from between her legs. She did something she never thought she’d do. She reached out with her mind to his. For the last two years, Genevieve had been able to see into the minds of others. She hated it, the constant screaming in her head. The only way to drown it out was going to the club where the music pounded over the incessant voices.

No one ever knew she had this ability, so when his eyes widened and he backed away from her so quickly he became a blur, she didn’t know what to do. She felt as though she had literally been shoved out of his head. But not before she heard several things that left her gaping.

  Vampire.

  Sweetest blood.

  Seer.

Nothing about any of those things made sense to her. She looked to the strange man, so tall and muscular.

“Tell me your name,” she said around a huge yawn.

A sudden bout of exhaustion swept over her, beyond the normal blissful sleepiness of post-orgasmic bliss. She didn’t understand how she could feel this way, like she’d been medicated or something.

“You don’t need to know my name, Seer, only that I will watch over you.”

Then he vanished. She wondered for a second why he called her Seer, but the exhaustion felt so heavy she let go and slipped into the deepest sleep she’d ever had.

  * * * *

For the next few weeks she’d go dancing to drown out the voices in her mind. She’d find herself in a daze, always dancing with a strange man she never felt uncomfortable with. Her head would start to pound, the headaches coming nearly every day now. Somehow, she’d always end up back in her room with no knowledge of how she got there. She had dreams about the man who called her Seer. The dreams were so real, she’d wake up with a gasp, her sheets twisted around her body and her pussy dripping with want.

Genevieve took a deep breath. There was a hint of something foreign in the air. She looked around the room and noticed nothing out of place. Her head flopped back on the pillow as she fisted her hands in her hair, trying to figure out why she felt so lost and empty when awake, yet so full and satisfied in her dreams. The only answer was she’d rather stay in dreamland forever with her dark angel than live the lonely existence she currently found herself in.

Her days were predictable. She would go to a dead-end job she hated, go home, eat food she no longer desired, shower, dress to kill, and go to the club so the music would fade the voices away. Never a moment out of her mundane days did she find herself not thinking of the dark angel who haunted her dreams. She could feel him all around her. She could smell the scent of leather she always associated with him. She was so lost in the music, she jumped when a pair of large hands gripped her waist and pulled her into a towering, hard body. Instantly she knew who stood behind her.

  “You’re in grave danger, Seer.”

His voice was so deep and husky in her ear she found it hard to focus on his actual words. Out of the corner of
her eye, she saw a strange-looking man. He was ghostly pale and completely bald. She turned her head toward the strange man, and the worst headache she’d ever experienced slammed into her. Visions flashed through her mind so fast she didn’t know what to make of them. The pain crippled her to the point her legs gave out.

“I’ve got you. I’ll keep you safe,” her angel said urgently.

She felt as though she flew as he carried her out of the club and through the streets of the city. She couldn’t see anything other than the chaotic flashes in her mind.

“What’s happening to me?” she asked frantically, clawing at what she thought might be his chest judging by the wide expanse of it.

“It’ll go away soon. Just breathe.”

She took comfort in the sound of his voice, in his arms. She took several deep breaths, and a few moments later, her mind cleared and her vision returned. When she looked up, she could finally see his face, and when she did, he took her breath away.

He had dark hair, gray eyes, and a face that could make angels weep with its beauty. She looked deep into his eyes, wondering why his mind was so silent.

“I can’t hear you,” she muttered to herself.

“I’ll explain everything when you’re safe.”

They stopped at a sleek black sports car where he set her gently into the supple leather seat before going around to the driver’s side. She watched as he folded his six-foot-seven-inch body into the car. She gripped the door handle as he took off like a bat out of hell.
